About the concert
The Concertgebouw Orchestra’s principal trumpet player Miroslav Petkov is teaming up with colleagues from the orchestra and composer and jazz pianist Dimitar Bodurov to present a wonderful new creation where folk, jazz and classical music converge.
Miroslav Petkov
Principal trumpet player Miroslav Petkov enjoys exploring the boundaries between classical music, folk music and jazz, as he does on this exciting, intimate portrait concert, when he will be creating something new together with jazz pianist and composer Dimitar Bodurov. The musicians will be taking you on a personal musical journey through Bulgarian folk melodies, improvisation and atmospheric classical music.
Close-up
Musicians of the Concertgebouw Orchestra perform their own programmes in the Recital Hall as part of the Close-up chamber music series. Each of these concerts is unique and performed only once as part of the series. It’s the very best way to experience the individual qualities of the orchestral musicians! These intimate concerts are organised by the Friends of The Concertgebouw and the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra.
