About the concert
As part of Aural Spaces, the Masterclass offers anyone with an interest in immersive experiences the chance to learn about the unique making processes and technological developments in spatial sound. In collaboration with FIBER Festival we invite students, professional makers and organisers within the performing arts, design, sound art, architecture and artistic research to get to know the makers, the creation of their works and the possibilities of the 4DSOUND system in an intimate way.
This masterclass will be in English.
When you participate in this programme, you will get a unique insight into leading musicians' vision of spatial sound and the development process behind their 4DSOUND productions. In what way do they approach composing and designing for a 360-degree sonic experience? What instruments do they have at their disposal in composing a work? In the process, the team behind 4DSOUND will introduce you to the possibilities of the innovative sound system from their philosophy. The first masterclass will be given by composer and sound designer (Grand River) who will play the piece Tuning the Wind live on the same day. More programme elements will be announced later.
This programme is created in collaboration with FIBER Festival.
