About the concert
One of them is a cellist, composer and producer with a liking for experimental ambient music and modular sounds, the other’s known as one of the most sought for drummers/percussionists in worldwide jazz. Together, Maarten Vos and Bodek Janke will try to build a bridge between modernity and tradition: in an Aural Spaces exclusive, the two artists will present new work in which minimalist, spiritual trance is combined with traditional Indian influences. As well in their means of performance, a balance between the old and the new is found: modular synthesizers, Tablas and other traditional (Indian) instruments will harmonize in this multidimensional performance.

This concert is part of Aural Spaces. From 16 to 18 december in Concertgebouw Amsterdam, a new dimension will be added to experiencing live music. In collaboration with 4DSOUND, modern technology will blur the boundaries between space and sound more than ever before, in a captivating sonic experience rarely witnessed before. During Aural Spaces, timbres become almost visible, soundwaves will flow from every corner into the mind like a head massager.
