About the concert
The exciting years after the end of the First World War briefly seemed to be the dawn of a new age of peace and prosperity. Musicians from the Concertgebouw Orchestra and soprano Laetitia Gerards bring back this exhilarating era of a century ago, when avant-garde, jazz and cabaret came together.

For years, they have been giving chamber music concerts in the Recital Hall as part of the Close-up Series, organized by the Friends of the orchestra and The Concertgebouw.
