Dvořák's Seventh Symphony is the counterpart to his Eighth, which the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra played earlier this season. It's more melancholy, less ‘Czech’ and closer to the music of Brahms. You'll also hear some virtuoso singing by the bassoon, played by Bram van Sambeek in Rossini's Bassoon Concerto.
