About the concert

Ravel's Piano Concerto for the Left Hand is a dark yet energetic and grippingly virtuoso wartime composition. French pianist Bertrand Chamayou will entice the most amazing sounds out of the piano, using only one hand. Chief conductor Lorenzo Viotti will also perform Rachmaninoff's mysterious and introspective Isle of the Dead and Britten's poignant Sinfonia da Requiem.
