In Piano Nights, the piano takes the spotlight and you will hear the most beautiful piano music of all times. Two pianists each perform a completely different repertoire. Well-known and unknown music to dream away. Tonight featuring the exuberant piano virtuoso Wibi Soerjadi and the intimate piano player Annelie.
Tonight's guests in Piano Nights: star pianist Wibi Soerjadi and neoclassical pianist Annelie. For almost 30 years, Soerjadi has been a familiar face in the Netherlands, both on and off stages. Wibi Soerjadi plays virtuoso piano classics just as easily as he produces a dance track or is a jury member in a talent programme. He has already given a Christmas recital in The Concertgebouw 28 times. Now he comes to the Main Hall a little earlier in the year for an atmospheric Piano Nights. Neo-classical pianist Annelie uses the piano to tell her personal stories. As a keyboard player and singer with well-known Dutch artists such as Eefje de Visser and Maaike Ouboter, Annelie has earned her credits. Solo, she has chosen to make instrumental music, taking the piano as her starting point. Her previous piano solo albums After Midnight and Hertz were widely acclaimed and reached nearly 50 million streams on Spotify alone. On her new EP C, however, she aims to show more diversity and experiment with electronic elements.
