Violinist Simone Lamsma is this season’s special guest. This morning she’ll play Korngold’s Violin Concerto, a piece so imaginative it could be a film soundtrack. The orchestra will also play the Suite from ‘Der Rosenkavalier’, Strauss’ dreamy depiction of eighteenth-century Vienna.
