About the concert
Russian pianist Grigory Sokolov feels his best giving solo recitals. Before playing a concert, he spends a long time with the instrument he’ll be playing, leaving nothing to chance. Tonight he puts on the music stand two composers separated by nearly three hundred years: William Byrd and Johannes Brahms.
