The German State Philharmonic Orchestra of Rheinland-Pfalz will play a concert of great music from Christmas films and other wintertime classics, conducted by Sander Teepen. It wouldn’t be Christmas without Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker, or Irving Berlin's White Christmas. Silvestri's Polar Express will race past, and things will get tense with Elfman’s The Nightmare before Christmas. And of course there will be music by the great film composer John Williams. His magical music for Harry Potter will close this wonderful concert. Angela Schijf is your guide (note: Dutch spoken) through this delightful Christmas programme.
This is a concert of music from Christmas and other films; please note the films themselves will not be shown.
