About the concert
Rachmaninoff’s Second Piano concerto and Holst’s The Planets, need we say more? Rachmaninoff’s concerto is perhaps the greatest hit of an already-popular composer. Holst’s sweeping orchestral suite The Planets is a monumental depiction of our solar system in music, combining unearthly beauty with a hint of mystery.
