Jazz pianist Amaro Freitas’ raw, virtuoso and stunning playing makes him one of the most fascinating people in Brazilian jazz today. This evening’s solo concert in the Recital Hall that includes selections from his new album Y'Y. He says this album 'is a tribute to the forest, in particular the Amazon rainforest, and the rivers of northern Brazil: a call to live, to feel, to respect nature, and to care for it and recognise it as our ancestor.'
