After the great success of the first edition of Concertgebouw OPEN last year, Concertgebouw OPEN returns! During Concertgebouw OPEN you can wander around The Concertgebouw between 10 AM and 4 PM. Discover the most diverse music; from an impressive orchestra to pop music, from neoclassical to music for children. There are also audio tours (Dutch spoken) and children can craft their own musical instrument. Or have your picture taken on our famous staircase! It's all possible during Concertgebouw OPEN.
Concertgebouw OPEN is free of charge! You just have to book a ticket with the time you want to enter.

On Saturday 31 August, The Concertgebouw will open its doors to everyone! For a wonderful day filled with music; in all halls, corridors and foyers, everyone can come and listen to a wide variety of music for free. From the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra to pop music, from neoclassical pianist Helena Basilova to a children's concert with Izaline Calister, from crafting your own musical instrument to audio tour: you will experience it all in The Concertgebouw.
Musically, there is plenty to do during Concertgebouw OPEN! Wander around The Concertgebouw and experience a children's concert by Izaline Calister and Thijs Borsten, for instance. Or let yourself be overwhelmed by the grand sounds of the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra or Francis van Broekhuizen in the Main Hall. More intimate is the classical chamber music by Arturo den Hartog and Daan Boertien in the Recital Hall. Or get carried away by neoclassical sounds by Helena Basilova or 3VIOLAS in the Mirror Hall. Via the audio tour (bring your earphones!) you can discover more about the building itself, and for little music lovers there is an instrument garden where you can try out all kinds of instruments. And oh yes, there is lots more to do!
Concertgebouw OPEN is free of charge! You do have to reserve a free ticket with the time you want to enter. And after that, you can stay as long as you like!
