Jan van Duikeren & Marcel Veenendaal

Last summer, trumpet player Jan van Duikeren and Di-Rect vocalist Marcel Veenendaal, together with the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw, played an impressive ode to Chet Baker in the Grote Zaal. Now the two are back with a more intimate project: together with seasoned jazz cats Karel Boehlee (piano), Aram Kersbergen (bass) and John Engels (drums) they made a beautiful album. A record with songs that have a special place in their hearts. Marcel Veenendaal says, 'We enjoyed an intense musical trip and it is with great pride that we can finally share the result with you.' Tonight the five musicians bring the album to life in the Recital Hall.
