About the concert
Every year since 1953, KCOV Excelsior has performed the St Matthew Passion in The Concertgebouw. Excelsior is accompanied in this performance of Bach's masterpiece by the baroque orchestra Florilegium Musicum. General direction is in the hands of Gerrit Maas, conductor of the KCOV Excelsior.

To an amateur musician a performance at the Concertgebouw is always special, often marking the end of an extensive period of rehearsals.
