We hope to see you in The Concertgebouw again next year!
Our Managing director Simon Reinink's New Year's message
The year 2024 will undoubtedly be remembered as a historic one. It has been a time of profound geopolitical and national events that have touched us all. Yet, it was also a year in which The Concertgebouw was filled with music that inspired, connected, and uplifted - music that brings us together and enriches our lives. That remains at the heart of everything we do.
We’re delighted to see that our audience continues to grow younger and more diverse, a trend that carried on this year. Important steps were also taken towards making our building more sustainable, and I’m proud to share that plans and funding are now in place for the major renovation of the Recital Hall in the coming year. Looking ahead to 2025, we’re excited to present a magnificent line-up of concerts, with the Mahler Festival in May as the crown jewel.
On behalf of our entire staff and Supervisory Board, I want to thank you warmly for your support. It makes all the difference. Wishing you a joyful holiday season and a brilliant musical 2025!
Simon Reinink
Managing Director
