About the concert
Beethoven's music for piano was pivotal in determining the instrument's future. All-round pianist Emanuel Ax will focus on the composer's works as part of the Great Pianists series. He'll also play two masterpieces from the first half of the twentieth century: Schönberg's Drei Klavierstücke and Anton Webern's Variationen für Klavier.
