Spraakmakers (Dutch spoken)

Spraakmakers is a travelling concert series that connects classical music with contemporary issues. During this evening, leading actors and musical ensembles will forge a new narrative out of some intriguing stories and fitting music. It’s narrated and played at the same time, as a single dramatic musical story. Flemish theatre maker Lucas De Man is a flamboyant host who gets his audience involved in a theatrical evening with a lot of surprises in store. Spraakmakers is for everyone who’s looking for new stories in classical music.

Tonight in Spraakmakers, you’ll hearEllen ten Damme and Pianoduo Scholtes & Janssens in Dierenstemmen (‘Animal voices’), Lars Brinkman and the Berlage Saxophone Quartet in De weg naar binnen (‘The way in’), andSoumaya Ahouaoui and the ADAM Quartet with Designerbaby’s. The music is by Saint-Saëns, Pärt and Ravel.
